Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), through the Department of Facilities Maintenance and Management of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council [AMMC] is inviting competent and interested companies to submit Technical and financial bids for the supply, installations, operation, maintenance and security of 6No. of 150KVA Generating sets to power streetlight installations along the Airport Road, Abuja for a period of 12 months (1 year).

(a) SCOPE OF WORK
 The scope of work involves:

(i) Supply and installation of 6No 150KVA, 415V Perkins FG Wilson Soundproof generating sets to the installation sites as directed.

(ii) Supply, modifications, improvements and installation of steel container at site according to drawings, bill of engineering measurement and evaluation, and other approved specifications, to provide Housing for generator operators, security guards and storage facility.

(iii) Construction of ventilated improve (VIP) latrine according to drawings and other approved specifications for convenience of operational personnel.

(iv) Operation of the installed generating sets for a period of 12 months (one year) using operators on a 24 hours basis.

(v) Routine servicing and maintenance of the generating sets for a period of 12 months (one year).

(vi) Site preparation including clearing, earth work and landscaping according to drawings, bill of engineering measurement and evaluation and specifications of the FCTA Department of Facilities Maintenance and Management.

PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Interested companies must forward copies of the following documents and the originals to be made available for sighting during the Tender opening.

i. Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Articles of Memorandum of Association.
ii. Tax clearance of the last three years.
iii. Interested companies should have up to date returns with the CAC and be informed that due diligence could be conducted.
iv. List of equipment and plants to be deployed for the project, stating their location and whether the equipment is owned or on lease.
v. List of key personnel/officers to be attached to the project stating their roles, designation, qualification and experience. Enclose photocopies of professional certificates where applicable.
vi. List of verifiable documentary evidences of similar jobs successfully executed within the last three years.
vii. Evidence of audited account from a chartered accounting firm for the last three [3] years.
viii. Sworn affidavit that none of the Directors of the company had ever been convicted by any court of law.

(b) COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS:
Interested companies should collect tender documents from the Tender Unit of AMMC, Room 314, Department of Administration and Finance, AMMC, Nr 2 Juba Street, Zone 6, Wuse Abuja upon the presentation of a payment of N20,000.00 [twenty thousand naira only] non-refundable Tender fee in FCT Treasury Account at Fidelity Bank (Central Area) No. 051103010000426. A copy of the receipt is to be forwarded with the Financial bid.

(c) SUBMISSION
The Technical and Financial documents should each be sealed and labeled (Technical and Financial bids as appropriate) separately, and the two envelopes be put in another envelope that should also be sealed and labeled as” PROCUREMENT FOR THE SUPPLY, INSTALLATIONS, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY OF GENERATING SETS FOR POWERING STREETLIGHTS ALONG AIRPORT ROAD, ABUJA.”. The Tender documents (financial bid) should be submitted in three [3] copies [one original and two other copies] and all pages are to be duly endorsed by the bidder. A bid security of 2% of the bid sum is to be provided from a Nigerian bank.

The document is to be dropped in: The Tender Box at the office of the Secretary, FCT Tenders Board, FCT Tender Board Secretariat, Engineering Block Annex, Area 11, Garki, Abuja. Not later than 12 noon on 10th June, 2009.
(a) The representatives of the bidding companies are invited to witness the opening of the tenders  on the same day at [FCDA Office Annex – Dantata and Sawoe (opp. old CBN) Garki,  Abuja] 2.00 pm.
NOTE: Successful companies shall provide PERFORMANCE BOND whose value should not be less than 10% of the contract sum before signing the contract.
